The Four Freedoms, The Philosophy of Individualism and Five Star Citizenship

The Four Freedoms

The first is freedom of speech and expression... everywhere in the world.

The second is freedom of every person to worship God in his own way... everywhere in the world.

The third is freedom from want... which, translated into world terms, means economic understandings which will secure to every nation a healthy peacetime life for its inhabitants... everywhere in the world.

The fourth is freedom from fear... which, translated into world terms, means a world-wide reduction of armaments to such a point and in such a thorough fashion that no nation will be in a position to commit an act of aggression against any neighbor... anywhere in the world.

"For those who fight for it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know"

The Philosophy of Individualism

Individual Freedom -- where every human being is important, especially from the point of view of law and politics, as a sovereign individual, not living by the permission of the government or some master or lord.

Private Property -- where each person has the basic right to retain honestly earned private property and the freedom to choose to associate with others on his or her own terms - whether for economic, artistic, religious, or romantic purposes.

Limited Government -- where the role of government in a free society is to settle disputes and maintain public order with the protection of citizens collectively delegated as the primary responsibility of a federal government headed by an elected president or other leader.

Free Trade -- where everyone has the basic right to engage in free trade - as in any other kind of peaceful action, even when his or her particular decision may not be the wisest or even morally exemplary.

EAGLES DON'T FLOCK
... you find them one at a time!

The Spirit of Freedom is the courage it takes to defend freedom.

Five Star Citizenship ... The basics/short form.    Longer version!

1. Five Star Citizens are FEARLESS!

Containing the power hungry amongst us is an individual responsibility. Why? Because there will always be people who seek to gain power and control over the lives of others. Control them!

2. Five Star Citizens know history!

History is the study of change over time. So why history so important? Because the only sure thing in life is change. History has proven that those who do not pay attention to the lessons of history will repeat the mistakes. So, a sense of history is crucial to good decision making in managing the inevitable changes in societies.

3. Five Star Citizens THINK for themselves!

Informed citizens study all sides of an issue. Thinking people refuse to take politically motivated advertising too seriously or permit undue influence by all media and special interest groups.

4. Five Star Citizens VOTE in every election!

It is the duty of every citizen to secure rights and freedoms by participating in the affairs of their countries. They keep up with current affairs and view them with an open mind.

5. Five Star Citizens use their political clout!

Individuals CAN and DO have influence -- IF they make themselves heard.

Make it a point to write or call elected officials and centers of influence who shape public opinion like talk shows, networks, newspapers and magazines.

Avoid be a shill for power seekers. Think for one's self!

"The name of American, which belongs to you, in your national capacity, must always exalt the just pride of Patriotism.... It should be the highest ambition of every American to extend his views beyond himself, and to bear in mind that his conduct will not only affect himself, his country, and his immediate posterity; but that its influence may be co-extensive with the world, and stamp political happiness or misery on ages yet unborn."       --George Washington

We are dedicated to preserving the legacy of freedom as promised in the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
